Though I’m a paying member with PopWood and Plus, I find it rather telling that none of the Top 5 in 2023 were from 2023. I certainly understand reposting quality posts from the past (example: Like how C Schawrz’ chisel article was just reposted to the Tools thread), but that seems to be the lion’s share of the posts and that there’s a greater trend of recycling material for profit over and over again than there has been in years past. It’s annoying enough that being a paid member still earns you the privilege of being bombarded with popups and solicitation to ‘become a member’; watching great content and even its organization undergo what almost seems like an intentional destruction of an entire media venture is only highlighted when a post counting the top 5 projects in a year when many aren’t even from the same decade, let alone same year. Just my 2¢

I think there’s some fair criticism there. The articles here were based on pageviews, and surprisingly or not, people tend to click on stuff they’re familiar with. They also gravitate to things that are strange, like the table saw bowl. That being said, we’re working on doing a better job of uploading all of the new content from each issue so it’s available online. By the time the April issue hits mailboxes for example, everything from the February 2024 will be online for PW+ members to enjoy. As always, feel free to reach out with any other suggestions or feedback at
