A sharp chisel edge makes your work all that much easier. But keeping those tools sharp is a skill that's learned over a long time. Oil stones? Jigs? Water stones? Not to mention the precise angles and rock steady grip you need. But the PSS1 sharpener from M Power make things a lot simpler. The trick is a lateral sharpening stroke. The stone sharpens across the width of the blade so the microscopic striations or groves run laterally rather than meeting the blade edge head-on, like that of the regular up and down of a traditional sharpening stroke. The result a finer, quicker edge for less work.
