This is a model of the cover project from the June 2011 issue of Popular Woodworking Magazine, a set of bookshelves are re-creations of stacking book boxes used for shipping Jefferson’s library to Washington D.C. for the Library of Congress. While the exact form of the boxes isn’t know, these are based on 1959 recreations built for Monticello and used there today. Project research, construction and SketchUp model by editor Christopher Schwarz.
