Here’s a short trailer of the forthcoming DVD “Build a Sawbench with Christopher Schwarz” that will be released in a few weeks. If you pre-order the DVD, you’ll save $5 (hey that’s a pint of snooty beer!). To pre-order it for $19.99, visit our store via this link.

As always, as soon as the product starts shipping, the price goes up to $24.99.

I think this is a fun DVD. You get to see other woodworkers building the sawbench. And in addition to hearing my drone, you get to see (but not hear) Megan utter a curse, and you get a SketchUp drawing of the sawbench plus printed directions to take to the shop. It’s a nice package and is like taking an out-of-town woodworking class – minus the bedbugs.

  • I’m loath to comment on the woodworker’s "styles" in the vid. Looks like most might use a lesson or two in good tool form and use. NO, I’m not being a snob just observant of how difficult some folks make things through a lack of basic hand/eye/body skills. I guess I’m blessed having had a few good teachers as a wee one beginning with my Da.

Anyway, it looks like a fun time was had by all. Good stuff.

I posted this on the ticking stick video. Don’t know how it got here. Sorry!

Wouldn’t it be just as easy to lay the face frame over the door and trace the edges or am I missing something.
