Woodtek’s coupling skirt ($30) makes it easier to dispose of the dust your collector collects. It adapts your 2- or 3-hp dust collector to a metal trash can. Simply disconnect the full can, put on the lid and haul it to the trash. However, to maintain your collector’s efficiency (rated CFM) without the benefit of its lower bag, you’ll also have to replace its upper bag with one that has increased filtering capacity.
Woodtek offers an oversize (20 in. x 48 in.) polyester-twill bag with five-micron filtering capacity to do the job ($30). If your dust collector has standard fabric bags (30 micron capacity),Woodtek’s filter alone is worth the investment.
