I know I should unplug my tools before changing blades and bits, but sometimes I forget. So far I’ve been lucky, but I’d rather be safe, so I came up with a simple solution. Using a hook-and-loop strap, I secured my tool wrenches to the end of the power cords. Now there’s absolutely no way I can change a blade or bit without first unplugging the tool. And as an added bonus, I can’t misplace the wrenches.
