WHILE SORTING OUT WORKSHOP FOUND THIS SCREW CHUCK I MADE A FEW YEARS AGO.A BIT RUSTY BUT STILL WORKS. AS TO THE 3 HOLES THEY WERE DONE ON A INDEX TABLE TO GET THE HOLES PERFECT . AND THE SCREW IS A COACH BOLT THREADED ONE END TO FIT CHUCK. I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER PIECE OF METAL WHICH IS 2 INCH X2 1/2 INCH DIAMETER.ONE END IS DRILLED 3/4 INCH DEEP X 3/4 DIAMETER AND SCREW CUT TO FIT MY TYME LATHE CUB,AND THE OTHER END IS DRILLED 3/4 DEEP X 3/4 DEEP AND TAPPED 3/4 BSF X12TPI.THAT PIECE STAYS ON LATHE.AS I CAN THEN MAKE FACE PLATES WITH 3/4 BSF THREADS ON TO FIT LATHE. IT IS COST EFFECTIVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN,AS IF YOU BUY THE COMPANYS LATHES OWN PRODUCTS IT WILL COST YOU. A CHUCK LIKE YOU SEE I MADE COST AROUND £25 ABOUT $38  TO BUY FROM A COMPANY .MY ONE TOOK JUST OVER AN HOUR TO MAKE COST ME £4.75 INCLUDING PARTS.SO IF YOU HAVE A LATHE FIND OUT THE THREAD SIZE ON YOUR HEADSTOCK AND MAKE YOUR OWN SAVES YOU MONEY IN THE LONG RUN?
