The bracket corner straps that I used were made from a short piece of thin brass that was drilled and bent. In order to install all of them, don’t ask me how many, I devised a template. Here too (like in the templates for the sunken handles before) I used a three strip construction, made from 3/4” plywood. The middle strip matched the corner's width. While gluing the template together I made sure that the middle strip would protrude from the three strip sandwich. This way it could be used as an indicator, or a pointer, for the centric location where the routing should take place. After routing, I used a chisel to square off the corners of the recesses, then I installed the corners and their screws.
