Expanded Cordless Kit

Six separate cordless tools can cost a bundle, but you sure save a lot when you buy them together as a kit. That’s because they all share the same two batteries and charger. Delta’s value-priced 18-volt kit has two new additions: a jigsaw and a brad nailer. For $280 you also get a drill/driver, circular saw, jigsaw, orbital sander and flashlight. Short a router, that’s nearly every portable power tool you need for woodworking. With this kit, you can cut, drill, drive, nail, light  and sand things anywhere around the house or shop. The drill has a 1/2-in. keyless chuck, two speed ranges and a 24-position clutch. The circular saw cuts material up to 1-9/16 in. thick at 90 degrees. The base on the variable speed jigsaw tilts 45 degrees both left and right. The orbital sander uses a standard one-third sheet. The brad nailer drives 18-gauge brads from 5/8 in. to 1-1/4 in. long.
