See the dreadful mess next to and behind Chuck Bender? By April 3, we need to find a place to stash it – because the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event is rolling into town on April 4th and 5th, and the common area we share with our company’s photo and video studio is where the event will take place (plus we’ll have our shop open; I suspect we’ll need to clean that as well).
We need to make room for LN’s large displays of top-notch tools – along with a couple of benches at which you can try out said tools and get woodworking advice and instruction from the company’s traveling team of experts.
And so far, we have word that two three additional vendors will be on hand, so we need space for them, too. That would be Lost Art Press, Daed Toolworks and Juan Vergara, Planemaker. Oh – and we’ll have a small area set up as well in the main space, with a selection of hand tool books and videos, as well as demos and instruction in our shop for the asking, plus SAPFM member Donna Hill has graciously volunteered to demonstrate inlay techniques on Friday (times will be posted closer to the event).
This year’s Cincinnati Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event runs from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, April 4, and from 10 a.m-5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, in our office and shop. We’re at 8469 Blue Ash Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45236 – but I recommend coming around the corner to Vorhees Road, which runs parallel to Blue Ash Road, to access our parking lot. Admission and parking are free.
Hope to see you then.
