After purchasing your book I decided to build a campaign secretary. I’ve been, glacially, working on it now for about a year and a half. I purchased my hardware when I began the project, so I’ve got about $500 in brass sitting in a drawer. There are, currently, two projects in queue ahead of my return to the secretary. I’m hopeful that work will recommence come spring. I most need to practice the installation of the various brass pieces. I was able to mill 18″ boards from my stock of Camphor to construct the carcasses. Alas, it all sits, unassembled, due to space considerations in my crowded garage/shop.
