You’ve no doubt heard about the new woodworking show from WGBH, the Boston PBS station that brought you “The New Yankee Workshop.” The show is called “Rough Cut , Woodworking with Tommy Mac” (click here to watch a clip about the show). It premieres October 2010 on PBS stations (check your local listings). But the very first place , anywhere in the country , that you can see the new show is at the 2010 Woodworking in America Conference (Oct. 1-3 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center).

As a full-conference attendee, you’re invited to a special screening at 6:15 p.m. Friday, just prior to the conference banquet and a full day prior to the show’s national release.

But we haven’t forgotten about Marketplace-only visitors! Starting at noon on Saturday in the Marketplace, not only will we be screening “Rough Cut,” we’ll be doing so with the host of the show, Tommy MacDonald. He’ll share some details about a few of the 13 episodes for the coming season, introduce the premier episode, then join us as we watch the show. (Check out the show’s Facebook page for more information.)

And there will be plenty of time to meet and talk with Tommy throughout the weekend. Woodcraft Supply, LLC, as the sole sponsor of the new PBS show , and a sponsor of Woodworking in America , has invited Tommy to the Conference. He’ll be in their booth in the Marketplace throughout Friday and Saturday. So stop by and meet the newest star of woodworking. (Click here to save $2 on a Marketplace-only ticket.)
