IDEA CAME TO MIND AS I HAD A FEW CORK TILES OVER FROM A JOB,I  PUT PEN TO PAPER WITH A DESIGN? HAVE YET TO MAKE SOME BUT MAYBE YOU CAN MAKE SOME.  SAY YOUR LUCKY TO FIND 8 X 6 INCH BOARDS? GET A PALM SANDER WITH MEDIUM GRIT AND SAND BOARDS,SO THERE ARE NO ROUGH EDGES AND BOTH SIDES ARE FLAT AND SMOOTH,DONT GO TOO MAD AS YOU STILL WANT TO SEE THE ELECTRONICS ON THE SURFACE. NOW CUT YOUR CORK TILE WHICH ARE NORMALLY 3.5 MM THICK.? EVO STICK 2 SIDES ONE ON CORK AND OTHER ON CIRCUIT BOARD.LEAVE TO TOUCH DRY BEFORE STICKING TOGETHER? NOW WITH A STANLEY BLADE OR CRAFT KNIFE TRIM EXCESS CORK AROUND BOARD!!. WITH SAND PAPER BLOCK RUB EDGES SMOOTH WITH FINE EMERY PAPER? NOW YOU NEED RUSTINS CLEAR PLASTICOTE, GIVE BOARD A COAT LEAVE TO DRY. NOW YOU HAVE A UNIQUE PLACE MAT? YOU CAN EVEN MAKE COASTERS /IDEAL GIFT FOR ANY OCCASION AND UNUSAL? SO NEXT TIME YOU SEE CIRCUITS BOARDS THROWN AWAY? YOU HAVE THE IDEA ? WASTE NOT WANT NOT. SIMPLE AND UNIQUE?!!
