LVStoreVaughn

This Friday and Saturday (April 11 and 12), I’ll be at the new Lee Valley Tools store in Vaughan, Ontario, to help celebrate the location’s grand opening (the store officially opened this morning). I’m very much looking forward to my trip across the border; I’ve never been to the Toronto area and I hear it’s lovely.

I’ve been asked to do a talk on my recent kitchen rehab adventures, so I’ll have lots of images and some words. They are supposed to be informative, funny words – or informative words that when put together in a certain order are funny. So by Friday, I have to find my funny (I think I left it out in the rain in 1989 or so; it dissolved). So bring your rotten tomatoes and limber up your throwing arm (but please don’t hit the projector or screen – those belong to Lee Valley).

Christopher Schwarz (he’s funny) will also be there – he’s driving…which is a good thing; I think I still have an outstanding parking ticket from Québec City, circa 1995 (it’s in French…but I can read French, so I guess that excuse won’t fly).

Christopher will be talking about campaign furniture and workbenches.

And we’ll both be at a meet and greet. (You’ll be able to distinguish between us by my relative lack of height, arm hair and references to bodily functions.)

The store is open from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.

Tip your wait staff.
