Once the names are drawn, I’d love to see a winners list. I just always liked the idea of possibly winning, and not knowing until a list was posted and to see my name there. It just adds to the experience. 🙂

Is the winner selection complete and the winners notified? I had filled the form for all the days, waiting for the lady luck to smile on me 🙂

    Thanks

    • Collin Knoff

We’re still drawing names, no worries!

  • Walter Carvalho

When and where the results will be published? Thanks

    • Collin Knoff

Winners will be notified in the upcoming weeks.

I always love your contests – not only because people get free stuff, but because I do really take the time to learn about new products that I could use in my shop. Thank you so much for switching to this platform. I don’t care to know how many entries I have – it’s really pointless to know. I just like how much easier it is to fill out this form and enter! Keep up the great work with your magazine too. I read every issue.

Thanks so much, it’s great to hear how much you enjoy Popular Woodworking, and that the new contest software is an improvement.

My number of daily entries is no longer showing up, it was working fine last week. Is that normal?

    • Collin Knoff

The entry counter was bugging out for a lot of people, so it was turned off. The daily entries are still being counted correctly in the back end.

        Collin Knoff,
Thank you for your fast reply. That makes sense to me.

I was reading the feedback from others and like them I don’t see just how many entries I have. I’ve been entering the contest everyday. I don’t think that anyone will really win anything. I know I’ve been trying with every new contests you have. But I guess it only takes 1 to win…. 😂

    • Collin Knoff

I can assure you that we draw winners for every prize, and that the prizes are shipped to those winners. My math is probably off, but I believe your odds are roughly 1-in-11,344 for winning a prize if you enter every day.

It’s gratifying even being far away, knowing that there are people who care about others. Who seek tools and methods to improve manual work, alternatives to circumvent the noise of electrical equipment with quality.
I bought my Knew Concepts saw using the link, I believe that, above all, it demonstrates with this acquisition the affection and respect for the posts and materials that are published.

    Success to all.

My wife is using my computer and can not enter any entries for the Days for Dad contest. Why not?

    • Collin Knoff

Have you been entering on the same computer? Only one entry per IP address per day.

      • gmcclelland

That is an issue for those of us entering from companies. Many people share the same Internet IP. I work from home, and work forces all our traffic (home traffic and and work traffic, for security reasons) through an external proxy called Netskope. I know of several woodworkers in the office all from the same town, all being forced out the same IP that Netskope uses for that city.

IP filtering is not a good way to limit users anyway. Anyone who wants to bypass this will just use a free proxy to present a different IP to your servers. Many non technical people are aware of this use. Unless that proxy service is forwarding XFF (x-forward-for) info, and your systems are using that info to verify the true IP, its an easy way around such restrictions. Not to mention that most proxy services do not forward XFF. In the end, you are just hurting those of us with shared IP’s.

If you want to limit cheating, fingerprinting the browser and machine makes it much more difficult to get around. Most users who are not in IT or Cyber Security, would not even know this is going on. Many in IT have no clue as they do not deal with this, those in Cyber use this method to track fraud and other threat actors. Many of these fraudsters and hackers are clueless to this too.

        Just my two cents.

        • Collin Knoff

We’re limited by the types of software available for contests- the one we used to use had more robust anti-cheat options, but everyone hated how difficult it was to use. We’re always open to suggestions for other options out there though!

I know other members are stating the same thing about not showing the number of entries they have. Yesterday it says I had 9 entries, today after I entered my information, it said I only had 1 entry. I hope this is helpful, I know you have a repair ticket in for this.

    Thank you,

  • steve caligiuri

Why can’t I enter the contest. It says to go to entry now but all I get is a display of the prizes and no area to enter?

    • Collin Knoff

Do you have an ad blocker turned on? That can cause the issue.

  • tyshharry

Hello, I am trying to enter today’s giveaway, however, when i click on the icon it tells me how many entries i currently have but won’t allow me to enter today’s.
    thanks

  • SteveStaves

Good morning 🙂 Just wandering when winners will be announced – At the end or are you doing it every day for each prize?

    • Collin Knoff

We’ll announce the winners at the end once they’ve been notified.

  • halleblueeyes

Mine is saying “only one entry” for me too.

    • Collin Knoff

We have a ticket out to see why it’s displaying incorrectly. The submissions are being counted correctly on the back end.

  • Rayandynz126

I don’t see any Terms and Conditions. Is this open to international members or just those in the US?

    • Collin Knoff

Open to residents of the US and Canada only.

  • jcloutman

In past years when you completed your daily entry it would show you the total entries you had submitted, to date. It does not appear to be doing that this year. Every time I complete my daily entry it just says “1 Entry”. Have you changed the way you track that or is something else wrong?

    • Collin Knoff

It should be tracking your number of entries, not sure why it’s not displaying correctly for you. That being said, I went in the back end of the system and I can see all of your entries, so just keep on entering each day like you have been.

      • CBerger

Same thing for me. Every day continues to show only 1 entry.

        • Collin Knoff

We have a ticket out to see why it’s displaying incorrectly. The submissions are being counted correctly on the back end.

  • jacaranda

I am not seeing any form to enter and participate in the sweepstakes.

    • Collin Knoff

Top of the page, above the prize grid. Make sure you don’t have an ad blocker turned on.

  • duane420

Where is the form to enter?

    • Collin Knoff

Top of the page, above the prize grid. Make sure you don’t have ad blocker turned on.

  • gilroykilroy

Do you enter just by leaving a post?

    • Collin Knoff

Fill out the form with your name and email address, check the box that you’re not a robot, then hit submit for your daily entry.

      • gilroykilroy

        AdGuard was blocking the form
