SketchUpI design a lot of furniture in SketchUp. Some of it requires the SketchUp user to use intermediate or expert SketchUp skills. In the interest of sparking reader questions I thought I would share some of these designs. This Trundle Bed project is a good example. Take a look at the swan neck that trims the headboard and the edge shape of the headboard panel. The finial is another example.

I am supplying both the SketchUp model file and a PDF file for download. Take a look at this design and see if you have the skills to draw it in SketchUp. If you feel you SketchUpmight have trouble with one component or another, please write and share your concern. I will answer your questions in this blog so that others can benefit from the answer. No question is too simple to ask. We are all trying to learn SketchUp and I learn best by answering questions.

Feel free to use this model and plans to build this piece for personal use. However, if you wish to build it for commission please contact me at jpz@srww.com and request permission. Have fun!
