We’ve some “kits” left over from May – collections of items on like subjects offered together at an attractive price (and we typically put together only 50 to 100 of each collection…so get ’em while you can)!

First up, the “Mid-Century Furniture Collection,” with the book “Mid-Century Modern Furniture: Shop Drawings & Techniques for Making 29 Projects,” and the DVDs “Step-by-Step Mid-Century Modern Coffee Table” and “Building Techniques for Mid-Century Modern Furniture.” All three are by Michael Crow. At $54.99, it’s a 39 percent discount off the retail price.

Then, we have “The Woodworking Design Collection,” with five videos and one book. The videos are “How to Create Your Own Furniture Designs” with Center for Furniture Craftsmanship instructor and professional furniture maker Aaron Fedarko; Basic and Intermediate SketchUp videos from Joe Zeh; “Building Period Furniture from Photos” from Mike Siemsen; and Jeff Miller’s “Design & Techniques for Building Curvy Furniture.” The book is Joe’s “SketchUp: A Design Guide for Woodworkers.” The collection is $69.99, which is 62 percent off the retail price.

And finally, check out “The Bill Anderson Woodworking Collection.” Bill teaches classes in his own North Carolina shop, but you’ll usually find him at The Woodwright’s School where he’s been teaching with Roy Underhill since the doors opened (so of course, we’re talking hand tools). In this kit, you get his three DVDs: “Joinery Handplanes”; “Building a Traditional 18th-century Jointer Plane” and “Choosing, Refurbishing & Using Moulding Planes”; along with five articles he wrote for the magazine (on bench planes restoration, making a panel-raising plane, making a bowsaw, re-handling mortise chisels, and rule joints) and a download episode of “The Woodwright’s Shop,” in which Bill visits Roy to show off his bowsaw. This collection is $59.99; the retail price is $104.91.
