highland_woodworking_IMG_4644A happy 35th anniversary to Highland Woodworking (nee Highland Hardware) in Atlanta, Ga., and congratulations to its founders, Chris and Sharon Bagby, for offering the best tool selection in the South for three+ decades.

To celebrate, they’re offering special 1-day deals (May 15 only) both in the store and on the web; click here to check ’em out.

And if you’re in the Atlanta area, stop by the store today at 1045 N. Highland Ave. NE, 30306 – I hear a certain suspendered and behatted woodwright is on hand for the festivities.

To read more about Highland Woodworking and see a video of the store, read this post by Christopher Schwarz, from his visit there in January of this year.

p.s. Popular Woodworking is a sponsor the Highland Woodworker web TV show, hosted by Charles Brock; the new episode, with me making a fool of myself, should be up soon (right now, you can watch Chris, Jeff Miller, Marc Spagnuolo and more).

Megan, thanks for taking note of our 35th birthday. We were pretty young ourselves when Highland started but not so young today. I was 28 and Sharon was 26 when we started the business. You do the math. Slight correction to your post. That certain suspendered woodwright was indeed at the store a couple of weekends ago to help get our celebration underway, but he’s back at work elsewhere by now (probably out somewhere carrying his axe around with him). We’ll try to have him back again sometime soon. We’d also like to have you be the guest of honor at one of our open house events in the coming year as well. Let’s talk. Best regards, Chris
