We now have some very large crates in our shop, chock full of Lie-Nielsen tools. The LN team is arriving next Thursday night to start setting up for the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event (Friday April 15, noon-6 p.m. and Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; click here for more information).

The trucking company brought the crates on a pup truck, which is a good thing – it’s darn-near impossible to back an 18-wheeler up to our dock – but getting them off the truck and into the shop was pretty funny to watch. So of course, we filmed it (though to keep it PG-rated, we had to cut quite a lot of footage).

You know we’re all waiting for the uncut version of that video, soon after the Lie-Nielsen event is over.

Exerpted email exchange after I showed this video to a friend (who was responsible for dealing with the crates at our KC LN show):

My friend: “Did he say ‘horse’ or ‘whores’?”
Me: “Dunno, which would be funnier?”

“Don’t put the Schwarz before the horse.” Classic!

Hey Guys, I am having two Hammer machines delivered on Monday. May I hire you all to help get them down in my basement? You did such a spectacular job on the LN crate I can’t help but think you would be perfect for my job also. Megan, I would also like you to come along and film it but in this case please do not edit. :o)
