I love two-for-one deals.Even my shop is a twofer; it doubles as a garage (sometimes) when I’m not woodworking. My recent purchase of a benchtop planer inspired me to create another two-for-one deal. I built a mobile outfeed table for my tablesaw that doubles as a stand for my planer.

The cart is designed so the outfeed table on the planer equals the height of my tablesaw. This gives me a beautiful, long outfeed extension for the planer. Never one to leave well enough alone, I built up the sides so the top of a pair of 22-in. rollers equals the height of my saw. Now, my planer stand acts as an extension table for my saw and my tablesaw acts as an outfeed extension for my planer. There’s lots of room under the cart to store the planer and the saw is perfect for stacking wood while planing.
