I keep a 6″ precision rule in my pocket most of the time when I’m in the shop. It gets used on a regular basis for layout, setup and fussy measuring. Veritas has introduced a small square than does
everything the rule does, but the addition of the leg makes it do everything better and more easily than a standard rule.
