SketchUp Update - Popular Woodworking Magazine
In Shop Blog, SketchUp Arts & Crafts Furniture Projects, SketchUp Models, Woodworking Blogs

As many of you have noticed, we are making improvements to the way you can view our free SketchUp models at Popular Woodworking Magazine. This feature has been enormously popular and we are looking forward to expanding the content that will be available. The site is currently under heavy construction by our online wizards and they assure us that the site will be fully functioning soon. In the mean time, feel free to check out a myriad of plans and models in Google’s 3D warehouse, such as the Stickley 369 Morris Chair from our April 2011 issue.

We are also making improvements to the rest of the web site. Check back often to see all the new features. PW

I don’t know exactly how your system works, but please keep offering downloads of the sketchup models in older versions of sketchup when feasible! Because I haven’t updated my OS, I’m stuck with Sketchup 7; I’ve run across files (including on Chris’ blog at Lost Art Press, and a couple of other places) that I couldn’t open because I needed version 8, which I can’t upgrade to until I get around to updating the computer, and well, if you saw my Lee Valley wishlist, you’d understand why I’m still running Tiger on my macbook…. so I appreciate that everytime I’ve downloaded something from PW, I’ve been able to get versions for Sketchup 6 or 7 …
