ENGINEERING FILES - Popular Woodworking Magazine

THESE FILES HAVE BEEN GROUND TO THE PATTERNS I WANT,AS I USE THESE FOR TURNING TIMBER, I CAN GRIND THEM TO A PATTERN I NEED.THESE WERE USED TO MAKE THESE CHESNUT CANDLE STICKS. ALL TURNED BY USING FILES. WHEN YOU GRIND A FILE NEVER LET IT BURN OR YOU LOOSE THE HARDNESS.THESE ARE OVER 24 YEARS OLD AND STILL IN USE. I OFTEN FIND THESE AT CAR BOOTS FLEA MARKETS AND THEY COST BETWEEN 10p TO 30p EACH.! .PEOPLE SEE A RUSTY FILE?? TO THEM ITS RUBBISH TO ME ITS A TURNING TOOL.NEXT TIME YOUR OUT AND ABOUT GET AN OLD FILE AND MAKE A BASIC TURNING TOOL?THEN TRY IT YOU WILL SEE IT WORKS.ALL MY TOOLS I MAKE I GRIND FREE HAND UNLESS I SET UP MY GRINDER WITH A JIG FOR A SPECIFIC TOOL I NEED FOR TURNING.I STILL HAVE MY CONVENTIONAL TURNING TOOLS, BUT I FIND WITH FILES IF GROUND RIGHT THEY WILL LAST YEARS.AS TO THE RUST THAT DOESNT MATTER MUCH ITS THE END YOU HAVE GROUND YOUR GOING TO USE.!!
