That is, one line from the &#039;top&#039; side and one line from the &#039;bottom&#039; side.This &#039;trick&#039; merely moves the original measurement from the end to the middle of the board. You know, I don&#039;t have very good eyes, so I have trouble with seeing the finer marks. I divorced my tape measure some time ago - it was an amicable relief after a contentious dependency, which slowed down my molasses-like artistic development. I didn&#039;t need to see the video to see the beauty in your method. In fact, I tried something similar in setting up a tongue-and-dado joint the other day on my router table. Works beautifully, and what&#039;s best is the tape stayed on the shelf and my poor, poor eyes are relieved.]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanks, Bob.
