maybe adding some bluegrass music somehow during WIA would be something that could be worked in? or at least some recommended bars/clubs we could maybe go to to hear some live?

I suppose this comes down to a who copied who debate, but some antique and recent tool history is in order here.

The Vesper bevel looks similar to the Robinson’s Patent, which I was the first to offer as a reproduction tool over a dozen years ago. There’s no doubt that the internals of his are identical to mine, which are identical to Robinson’s.

I stopped making that design as I always thought the improved design better since it offers two tools in one – a sliding bevel and a sliding square.

I’ve had these things sitting around here for about six years, unfinished as life kept getting in the way. Recently, Life and I had a stare-down, it blinked, and here they are.

Now, if you want to discuss things looking strikingly similar, how about that striking knife design from down under…..

Thanks to your recommendation Chris, I have been in email contact with Patrick the last couple of weeks begging him to help me find a solid locking bevel gauge to help me construct these saw benches. Although his website lists his as sold out he was kind enough to send me one of his current versions!! The man is a saint (makes me feel like I sort of scooped “The Schwarz”). Now if I could replicate the saw cuts as well as I can my angle lines …
