Off to Williamsburg

I'm heading off for the woodworking conference in Williamsburg. This year's subject is Tools, Tool Chests, and Workbenches. I'm looking forward to spending some time with equally odd, like-minded woodworkers and seeing the Seaton chest in person. Its a chance to rub elbows with the likes of Roy Underhill and Garret Hack.

For those unable to make it, I'll issue a full trip report a week or so after I return.

I am also off to the 1st session of the conference. I can hardly wait. This is my first year. I wish I could have made it to the previous years.

Adam, don't let Scott Hayes drool all over your tools...
(just kidding, Scott...have a great time! Wish I could be there, too.)

You guys suck. Have fun - I won't be in Williamsburg again til July 4th. Somehow I just can't convince the wife to visit in the dead of winter to watch a bunch of guys talk about tools and furniture - although she loves the stuff they make.

I look forward to hearing the trip reports here and on the list, too.

There are so many wonderful places on the internet to trash people anonymously. ArtsandMysteries.com doesn't have to be one of them. I'm not disputing what was written. (I don't know the guy). This is just not the right place.

Darn it! I read in the latest issue of PW that you were going to Williamsburg, and was really hoping to meet you, but I'm attending the 2nd session. This is my first time to attend the conference, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Adam, I'm on the board of the Early American Industries Association, and I'd like to talk to you about some things. What is a good way to reach you? My email is 2willowoaks@comcast.net.

Hope you had a good time in VA!
